Rooted: A Local Spring Festival invites the community to gather in the heart of Historic Downtown Wading River for a vibrant, walkable celebration of small business, creativity, and springtime fun. On Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10 am to 5 pm, the streets will come alive with live music, a thoughtfully curated artisan and makers market, delicious food trucks, and interactive experiences for all ages. Severe inclement weather date: Sunday, May 17. Event is rain or shine.
More than a traditional street fair, Rooted is designed as a full-day experience where neighbors can explore, connect, and enjoy time together. Guests can shop unique handcrafted goods from local makers, relax in the beer garden, and enjoy hands-on activities like face painting, fairy hair tinsel, axe throwing, and other family-friendly attractions. From kids to teens to adults, there is something engaging around every corner.
